INSPECTION AND ACCESS
From Maidstone town centre, take the A26 towards Tonbridge. Nearly one mile after crossing the River Medway you will see a telephone box and the Admiral Gordon Pub on your left. Turn left here into Milton Street. For GPS identification, the nearest postcode (in Hackney Road) is ME16 8DD. At the end of Milton Street, turn left and go down Hackney Road until it starts to bear left into Upper Fant Road. Do not bear left, but go almost straight over and down Unicumes Lane. Pass under a small railway bridge (1.95 metres headroom), to a turning and parking area by the river. For your first visit, it is better to park here and walk the rest of the way. Once you have checked the access out, you will be able to drive right onto the land you buy and park on it. From the parking area, turn right or left and there is a four metre wide right of way (with a hard surface of up to two metres in width) running through the land, parallel to the river bank. We had about 790 metres of river frontage available, but about two thirds are now sold. Please check with me for the up to date situation. If driving, please go slowly, as it is also a right of way for the public (on foot only). You may inspect at any time, but please take care in this riverside environment. When leaving, go further up Hackney road before turning right into Hartnup street due to a one-way system.
